Hi there. I trust that you are well and if you are holidaying, I hope you’re having a great time. I like this quote on prayer by Max Lucado: "Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference”. True, eh! Today and over the next few days we will pray through our Reedy value of “We Learn”. And obviously we learn from His Word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV). John Piper who is a world renown teacher of the bible wrote that he cannot stress enough how our real spiritual helplessness should be accompanied by the daily cry to God that he would sustain and awaken our desire to read his word. That’s something that I need to pray… perhaps you too. Let’s pray that God will sustain and awaken our desire to read His Word throughout 2022.

Welcome and thanks so much for praying with us. We are praying our way through the value of “We Care” and today we are focusing on God’s care for the world. Jesus said in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV). God cared for us that He sent His Son Jesus. Likewise, we care for the world with this message of God’s love. With so much tension between nations, with the concerns of the Corona-virus, with so many facing Hell, we need to rise up and pray that Christians will saturate the world with the message of God’s love and the sending of His Son Jesus so all may have eternal life. Please pray for our church’s missionaries as they spread the Good News in Australia and various parts of the world.

Hi there and thanks for your commitment to Reedy’s Month In Prayer. We are looking at our value of “We Care”. Yesterday we prayed about caring and supporting each another as Christ commanded us to love one another. Today it’s about caring for community. The prophet Micah said these bold words: “And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8 NIV). Justice and mercy are the heart of our Lord, and so, with so much injustice in our world and community, we need God’s help to make a difference. Let’s pray for Reedy Care, its staff and volunteers, and its ministry to the community.
